It is my second day in cordoba and I am becoming accustomed. Yesterday was a little tough because I hadn´t slept for 31 hours. And my brain was fried from all the spanish. My family talks extremely fast and argentinian spanish is way different than mexican spanish or even puertorican spanish. My house and room is so cute. I have the extra room that is outside and away from the main house. It is different here because every house is surrounded by a gate that you have to unlock to get in, and then they have various things inside their gate. Sometimes they might have a courtyard and then a lot of separate rooms. My family has a pool and a sitting area and then only one separate room with a bathroom, and that is my room! Anyways, Today I had orientation and that was really good and brought my spirits up because I got to meet my tutor, Natalia, and my group which are the other girls who have the same tutor. There is three of us and then the tutor: Me, Joanna, and Brenda. Orientation was really good and tonight I am doing something with my groupa and tutor. I am not sure what yet but we are meeing the the university. Oh-this is really funny-when I got to the airport my family was calling me Sox. And I tried to correct them but they didn´t hear me or understand or something. So finally a couple of hours later I told them and the papers that they got had a mistake, sox as my first name and heather as my last. Finally they got it and were embarrassed but I thought it was funny (didn´t laugh at them thought). Anyways i thought that was funny! Everything is getting better and I think that this month is going to be great. I can tell that my spanish is already getting better too. :D
This is my tutor, Natalia.
This is my room!
